Made this card with scraps. I have tons of scraps that are overflowing their storage area so I tried to use some up. These are the same papers I used for the Sympathy card I posted not long ago. The stem for the flowers was cut with the Cricut, I can't remember which cartridge. The flowers are silk. I just pulled them off the stem and glued them on, the added stickles for the centers. The sentiment is a clear stamp, but again I don't remember where it's from. I gave it to my sister to family she met when her husband was having radiation therapy.

Rachel's party invitations
Rachel and I made 88 invitations for her birthday party. It seemed to take forever. There were 3 layers for the MP3 players and the top layer had 4 little pieces that had to be placed individually. Lucky for me Rachel was able to help or it wouldn't be done yet! We used the Cuttlebug to emboss the background paper. All papers by DCWV. The MP3 player was cut from the Paisley Cricut cartridge. The "you're Invited" was from Alphalicious cartridge.

Rachel's 16th Birthday
Rachel will be 16 this month and we are having the traditional Sweet 16 party. I am making her dress for the party. Rachel went with me to the fabric store and picked out the pattern and fabric. She picked a beautiful pink stretch satin for the bodice and underskirt, and a sheer pink with glittery spiral design for the overskirt. I love having live "Barbie dolls" to dress, it's so much fun! I will post a pic when it's done, I promise.

Getting into Shape!
My sister, Susan, convinced me to join "Curves" with her a few months ago. The first month we did great and I made it a priority to go several times a week, but in December we were away for a week and a half when we went to Florida for vacation and after vacation I was too busy with holiday activities to go. January came and went and in February we had so much snow I didn't budge out of the house unless I had to. Well, it's now March and our "Curves" is having a "Biggest Loser" contest. I signed up and I am determined to exercise and eat sensibly! I may not be the biggest loser, but at least I will be doing something good for myself. Besides, if I exercise and eat well I'm winning anyway. Kristen and Amy went with me to exercise and they decided "Curves" was a great gym for me. The employees there are friendly and fun to be around, and the other patrons are people from our community and I know many of them. It really is a fun atmosphere. Kristen decided I needed to be held accountable for how often I went to exercise, so she went to the Dollar Store and bought an attendance poster and set it up for the weeks of the "Biggest Loser" contest. She also bought a roll of encouragement stickers and posted it in our kitchen. I get to put a sticker on each day I exercise! With support like that how can I go wrong?
